This panoramic view of the Milkyway arched over some Baobab trees was imaged by superimposing six twenty five second exposure portrait photographs captured on a moonless night at Kubu Island in Botswana's Makgadikgadi Pans. The island is a rugged outcrop of ancient granite rock and rising a mere 20 meters above the surface of a prehistoric super-lake now called the Makgadigadi Pans.
